7th and 8th Grade Middle School and 9th through 12 Grade High Schoolers

Mentoring Focus Areas
The DBGEM Mentoring Program is built to guide young men in grades 7 through 12 through the skills, relationships, and experiences that shape a strong future. Through a structured, hands-on approach, participants grow across six core focus areas: Life & Character Development, Academic & Employability Success, Mentor Connection, Career Discovery Experience, Financial Literacy, Life Skills, and Fun. Together, these areas create a well-rounded foundation that prepares young men not just for the next school year, but for the road ahead.
Character Development
Building integrity, discipline, and confidence through structured guidance and real conversations about manhood and personal growth.
Academic & Employability Success
Strengthening study habits, goal-setting, and the practical skills needed to succeed in school and the workplace.
Career Discovery
Exposing participants to a range of career paths through hands-on activities, guest speakers, and real-world exploration.
Financial Literacy
Teaching budgeting, saving, and everyday money management alongside practical skills for independent living.
Life Skills
Practical, everyday tools like time management, communication, self-care, and decision-making that prepare young men to navigate real life with confidence.
